Acceptable Use Policy

Why this policy exists

Our question bank represents several years of work by a team of subject teachers. It is the whole of what you are paying for, and it is the whole of what a person copying it takes. This policy sets out plainly what is and is not permitted, so that enforcement is never arbitrary.

Breach of this policy is a material breach of the Terms of Service. It entitles us to suspend or terminate access without refund, and to pursue any other remedy available in law.

One account, one person

Your account is licensed to you alone. You must not:

• disclose your password or any login link to another person, including a sibling, classmate, friend or student you tutor;
• allow another person to use your account, whether at the same time as you or at a different time;
• sell, rent, lend, gift, transfer or advertise access to your account;
• operate a shared, group-funded or “pooled” account;
• create multiple accounts to obtain repeated free trials or to circumvent a suspension.

How we enforce this

We limit the number of concurrent sessions per account, and monitor for patterns consistent with sharing — including simultaneous use from distant locations, unusual numbers of distinct devices, and rapid rotation of network addresses. Where we detect a likely breach we may require re-authentication, sign out other sessions, restrict the account to registered devices, or suspend it.

Extraction and copying of content

You must not, by any means and for any purpose:

• use any robot, spider, crawler, scraper, script, headless browser, browser extension or other automated means to access, index, read or extract content;
• download, copy, transcribe, screenshot, photograph, screen-record or otherwise reproduce questions, mark schemes, examiner insights, lesson notes or mock papers in bulk or systematically;
• circumvent or attempt to circumvent any rate limit, watermark, copy restriction or access control;
• compile, maintain or distribute any database, document, spreadsheet, deck or archive derived from our content;
• use our content, in whole or in part, to train, fine-tune, evaluate, benchmark, embed, index or ground any machine learning model, language model or retrieval system.

Incidental personal use — writing a question into your own notebook while working through it — is not caught by this section. Systematic capture is.

Redistribution

You must not publish, post, upload, share, sell, or make our content available to any person who does not hold their own valid licence. This includes, without limitation, posting to Discord, Telegram, WhatsApp or other messaging groups; uploading to Scribd, Course Hero, Studocu, Quizlet, Google Drive, Dropbox or any file-sharing service; reposting on Reddit, forums, YouTube or social media; and supplying content to any competing product or resource bank.

Teachers holding a valid teacher or institutional licence may use content with their own registered students, in accordance with the licence in the Terms of Service. That permission does not extend to any shared drive, public folder, or repository accessible beyond those students.

Academic integrity

You must not submit our model answers, worked solutions or written material as your own work for any internal assessment, extended essay, coursework, portfolio or examination, and must not present our mock papers as official examination material. Practice with our content is legitimate; passing it off is not, and may constitute academic misconduct under your school’s and examination board’s rules.

Conduct

Where the Service allows you to submit text — answers, feedback, error reports, support messages — you must not submit anything unlawful, abusive, harassing, obscene, discriminatory, defamatory, or which infringes another person’s rights. You must not impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any school or organisation. Because our users include children, we apply this section strictly.

Security and technical restrictions

You must not probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the Service; breach or circumvent authentication or security measures; access data not intended for you; interfere with service to any user, host or network; introduce malware; reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble any part of the Service except to the extent that restriction is prohibited by law; or remove, obscure or alter any copyright, watermark, trademark or attribution notice.

Responsible disclosure of a genuine security vulnerability, reported privately to [email protected] before any public disclosure and without accessing other users’ data, is welcomed and will not be treated as a breach of this policy.

Monitoring

To enforce this policy we log authentication events, session activity, device and network characteristics, and content access patterns. We apply automated detection to that data. Our use of this information is described in our Privacy Policy; it is used for security and enforcement, not for advertising or profiling.

We also watermark content, including with identifiers unique to your account, so that material found in circulation can be traced to the account it came from.

Enforcement

Our response is proportionate to the conduct. Ordinarily we escalate as follows, though we may move directly to termination where the breach is serious or deliberate:

We will tell you which provision we consider you to have breached and give you a reasonable opportunity to respond, except where doing so would prejudice an investigation or where immediate action is needed to protect our content or other users.

If you find our content published somewhere it should not be, or believe an account is being shared, please tell us at [email protected]. Reports may be made anonymously. Where you are the first to report material redistribution that we then remove, we may at our discretion extend your access period as thanks.
