About these Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of revisionprep.com, the RevisionPrep applications, and all content, questions, lesson notes, mock papers and features made available through them (together, the “Service”). The Service is operated by REVISIONPREP a product of INACADEMICS, a company registered in India with its registered office at REVISIONPREP - INACADEMICS, 117, RAICHANDANI BUSINESS BAY, KOKAPET - HYDERABAD (TELANGANA) INDIA (“RevisionPrep”, “we”, “us”, “our”).

By creating an account, making a purchase, or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you have read and agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, our Cookie Policy, our Acceptable Use Policy, our Refund and Cancellation Policy and our Trademark and Intellectual Property Policy. Each of those documents is incorporated into these Terms by reference. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

Where a school, college or other institution has purchased access on your behalf, the separate written agreement between us and that institution also applies, and takes precedence over these Terms to the extent of any conflict.

Who may use RevisionPrep

The Service is designed for students following the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme and Diploma Programme, and for the teachers and parents who support them. Because our users include children, eligibility is subject to the following conditions.

• You must be at least 13 years old to hold an account in your own name.
• If you are under 18, you may only use the Service with the knowledge and verifiable consent of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these Terms on your behalf and is responsible for all activity on the account and for all charges incurred.
• If you are under 16 and located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, verifiable parental consent is required before we will process your personal data, as described in our Privacy Policy.
• A parent or guardian purchasing on behalf of a student is the account holder and the contracting party for payment purposes.
• You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract, and must not be barred from receiving the Service under the laws of India or your country of residence.

We may at any time ask for evidence of age or of parental consent, and may suspend an account until that evidence is provided.

Your account

You must provide accurate registration information and keep it current. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

An account is personal to one named individual. Accounts may not be shared, transferred, sold, gifted, or used by more than one student, whether simultaneously or in turn. We apply concurrent-session limits and device checks to enforce this, as described in our Acceptable Use Policy.

Access periods and what you receive

We sell one-time access to defined bundles of content by programme and grade level. The specific bundle, the price and the access period applicable to your purchase are those displayed on the checkout page at the time you place your order, and are confirmed in your order confirmation email.

Unless the checkout page states otherwise, an access period is 12 months from the date of purchase. Access expires automatically at the end of the access period. Plans do not renew automatically and no further charge is taken — you will only be charged again if you choose to purchase a new plan. Expiry is not a termination by us and does not give rise to any refund of unused time.

A free account includes Lesson Notes for the grade and subjects you select at sign-up, plus free access to 4,000+ practice questions across every grade. Topical Worksheets and Mock Papers require a paid plan.

What is included

• Access to the question bank for the subjects in your bundle, together with model answers, mark schemes and examiner insights.
• Access to lesson notes and mock papers published for those subjects during your access period.
• Progress tracking, bookmarks and other account features as they exist from time to time.

What is not included

• Any right to retain or access content after your access period ends — the Service is provided for online viewing only, during your access period.
• Tutoring, marking of your own written work, or individual academic advice, unless separately purchased.
• Any past examination papers or official materials of any examination board.

We add, revise and retire content continuously. The number of questions available at any moment may differ from the figures shown in our marketing material, and we do not warrant that any particular question, topic or feature will remain available throughout your access period.

Prices, payment and taxes

Prices are shown on the pricing page and at checkout. Prices for customers in India are quoted in Indian Rupees; prices for customers outside India are quoted in United States Dollars. No Goods and Services Tax is currently charged on these prices.

Payments are processed by our third-party payment providers. We do not store your full card details. By submitting payment information you authorise us and our payment providers to charge the amounts due.

You are responsible for any taxes, duties, levies, bank charges or currency conversion fees imposed by any authority or financial institution in connection with your purchase, other than taxes on our income. Where withholding tax applies to an institutional payment, the amount payable to us shall be grossed up so that we receive the full invoiced sum.

We may change our prices at any time. A price change will not affect an access period you have already paid for.

Expiry and refunds

Plans are one-time purchases granting 12 months’ access from the date of payment. They do not renew automatically and no recurring charge is taken. Access ends at the close of the period unless you purchase a new plan.

Refunds are governed exclusively by our Refund and Cancellation Policy. In summary, we offer a limited 3-day refund window, subject to conditions including account suspension, a prior refund on a similar plan, and an examination-period blackout in the weeks immediately before each May and November session. Nothing in that policy limits any non-excludable right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or under mandatory consumer law in your country of residence.

Your licence to use our content

Subject to your compliance with these Terms and to payment of the applicable fees, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable licence to access and use the content in your bundle for your own private study during your access period.

Teachers holding a valid teacher or institutional licence may additionally display content to their own students in the course of teaching, provided our attribution and copyright notices are preserved and the material is not uploaded to any public or shared repository.

All other rights are reserved. In particular, you may not copy, reproduce, adapt, translate, distribute, publicly display, transmit, sell, licence, or create derivative works from the content, and may not use it to train, fine-tune, evaluate or ground any machine learning model, except as expressly permitted above. The full list of prohibitions is set out in our Acceptable Use Policy, breach of which is a material breach of these Terms.

Ownership of content

All questions, mark schemes, examiner insights, lesson notes, mock papers, diagrams, software, design elements and compilations forming part of the Service are original works owned by us or licensed to us, and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws in India and internationally. Our questions are written by our own subject teachers and are not reproductions of any examination board’s past papers.

If you submit answers, feedback, error reports, or other material to us (“User Content”), you retain ownership of it and grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual licence to host, store, reproduce and use it for the purpose of operating, supporting and improving the Service. Our treatment of User Content that contains personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

You must not submit User Content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, or that contains sensitive personal information about yourself or anyone else.

Independence from examination bodies

RevisionPrep is an independent publisher. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, approved by, or in any way officially connected to the International Baccalaureate Organization (“IBO”), or to any other examination board or awarding body.

References to the IB, the Middle Years Programme, the Diploma Programme, subject names, assessment criteria and command terms are made for the sole purpose of identifying the syllabus to which our independently written materials are aligned. Those names and marks remain the property of their respective owners. Full details are in our Trademark and Intellectual Property Policy.

Our questions, mark schemes, mock papers and lesson notes — including any material we make available free of charge — are supplementary study resources. They are not official IB publications, have not been reviewed or authorised by the IBO, and should not be treated as a statement of official syllabus content, assessment requirements or grade boundaries. Where our material and an official document differ, the official document governs.

Academic honesty and integrity

Our materials are practice and revision resources. They are not to be submitted, in whole or in part, as your own work for any assessment, internal assessment, extended essay, coursework or examination. Doing so may constitute academic misconduct under the rules of your school or examination board, and is your responsibility alone.

You must not

• upload, submit or present our questions, mark schemes or model answers as your own work for any assessment;
• distribute, publish or share our mark schemes, model answers or premium questions with any person who does not hold their own valid licence;
• access or use the Service during a live examination, or in any way that breaches the rules of your examination or your school;
• reproduce, resell or commercially exploit our questions or materials in any form.

Where the Service offers automated or AI-generated feedback or model answers, these are illustrative teaching tools. They are not official marking or moderation, and are not a prediction of any awarded grade. The specific limits of our AI features are set out in the following clause.

Availability and changes to the Service

We aim to keep the Service available continuously, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may suspend access for maintenance, upgrades, security, or for reasons outside our reasonable control. Where practicable we will give advance notice of planned downtime.

We may add, modify, or withdraw features and content. Where a change materially reduces the core functionality you have paid for, and the change is not required by law or for security, you may contact us within 30 days to request a pro-rated refund of the unexpired portion of your access period.

Accessibility

We want the Service to be usable by as many students as possible, including those who rely on assistive technology. We work towards the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as our reference standard, and aim to support keyboard navigation, screen-reader compatibility, sufficient colour contrast and resizable text.

We treat accessibility as ongoing rather than finished, and improve it over time. Some content — particularly complex diagrams, mathematical notation and third-party embedded material — may not yet be fully accessible in every assistive technology.

Third-party services and links

The Service integrates third-party providers for hosting, payments, analytics, communications and AI-assisted features. Their processing of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience and do not imply endorsement; we are not responsible for their content or practices. Our AI and automated features are dealt with in the following clause.

Artificial intelligence and automated features

Parts of the Service use artificial intelligence — for example AI-generated explanations, AI-assisted marking and feedback, hints, and personalised study recommendations. These features exist to assist your learning, not to replace a teacher or an official assessment.

AI-assisted marking and feedback are indicative only. They are not official marking or moderation, do not bind any examination board or school, and are not a prediction of any awarded grade. Where AI output and an official document or your teacher’s guidance differ, the official position governs.

How your data is treated

We do not use answers, coursework or other content you submit to train, fine-tune or evaluate any public or third-party AI model, and we do not permit our providers to do so, except where you give us specific, separate and revocable permission. Where a feature sends your text to a third-party model to generate a response, that provider is contractually prohibited from retaining it beyond the immediate request or using it to train its models. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, correction of an AI-generated error is your sole remedy for it, on the same basis as the Errors, omissions and corrections clause above. This does not exclude any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties, conditions and representations not expressly set out in these Terms, whether express, implied or statutory, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.

We make no promise, representation or guarantee as to any examination result, grade, score, band, admission outcome or academic improvement. Any figures, testimonials or averages published on our site describe past outcomes of other users and are not a prediction of yours.

Our materials are aligned to published syllabuses as we understand them at the time of writing. Syllabuses change. You remain responsible for confirming the requirements applicable to your own examination session with your school.

Errors, omissions and corrections

Our materials are written and checked by subject teachers, but a question bank of this size will contain errors. We do not warrant that the content is complete, accurate, current or free from error, and it should not be treated as an authoritative statement of any syllabus, mark scheme or assessment requirement.

Types of error you may encounter

• typographical and spelling errors, and errors in numbering or cross-referencing;
• incorrect answers, mis-stated mark allocations, or mark schemes that do not match the question as printed;
• errors in mathematical, chemical or scientific notation, in units, in significant figures, or in the rendering of symbols, subscripts and superscripts;
• mislabelled, cropped, low-resolution, distorted or missing diagrams, graphs, figures, tables and images;
• errors introduced when material is digitised, scanned, converted between file formats, compressed, or re-flowed for a particular screen size, browser, operating system or assistive technology.

Digitisation and display

Where content has been digitised, scanned or converted from another format, some loss of fidelity is inherent in the process. Images and diagrams may lose resolution, colour accuracy or fine detail; layout may differ between devices; and printed output may differ from what is shown on screen. We do not warrant that any content will display or print identically across devices, browsers or assistive technologies, and we accept no liability for any consequence of such variation.

You remain responsible for verifying anything you rely on against your official syllabus documents and with your teacher. Where our material and an official document differ, the official document governs.

Reporting an error

Please report errors to [email protected], giving the question or page reference and, where possible, a screenshot. We aim to acknowledge within 2 working days, and to correct verified errors in the next scheduled content update. Reporting an error costs you nothing and improves the bank for everyone; we are grateful for it.

Your remedy

Correction of the error is your sole and exclusive remedy for it. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from reliance on erroneous, incomplete or poorly rendered content, including any effect on marks, grades, predicted grades or academic outcome. An isolated error does not give rise to a refund outside our Refund and Cancellation Policy.

Where a defect is systemic rather than isolated — affecting a substantial part of a subject you have paid for, and not corrected within a reasonable time of being reported — we will at our option correct it, supply equivalent replacement content, or refund a fair proportion of the fee for the affected access period.

Nothing in this clause excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Subject to the paragraph above, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, opportunity, or examination or academic outcome, however arising.

Subject to the foregoing, our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Service and these Terms shall not exceed the total amount you paid to us in the twelve months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless REVISIONPREP a product of INACADEMICS, its officers, employees and contractors against any claim, demand, loss, liability, damage, cost or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, your infringement of any intellectual property right, or your violation of any applicable law.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice depending on the severity of the circumstances, if we reasonably believe that you have breached these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy, that your account is being shared or its content extracted, that your use presents a security or legal risk, or that a payment has been reversed or charged back.

Where termination follows a material breach by you, no refund is payable and we reserve all other rights and remedies. Where we terminate without cause, we will refund the unused portion of your access period on a pro-rata basis.

You may close your account at any time from your account settings or by writing to [email protected]. Sections concerning ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity and governing law survive termination.

Changes to these Terms

We may amend these Terms. The version in force is the one published on this page, and the date it took effect is shown at the top.

Where a change is material — for example, a change to fees, to the licence granted, to your rights of cancellation, or to dispute resolution — we will notify registered users by email at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you do not accept a material change, you may terminate before the effective date and receive a pro-rated refund of the unexpired portion of your access period. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms and any dispute arising out of them are governed by the laws of India. Subject to the paragraph below, the courts at Hyderabad, Telangana shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

If you are a consumer resident outside India, nothing in this clause deprives you of the protection of mandatory consumer law in your country of residence, or of the right to bring proceedings in the courts of that country where such a right cannot lawfully be excluded.

Before commencing proceedings, we ask that you first raise the matter with us at [email protected] so that we can attempt to resolve it informally. We will acknowledge within 48 hours and aim to resolve within 15 days.

General

These Terms, together with the documents incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remainder continues in force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign your rights under these Terms; we may assign ours on notice, including in connection with a merger or sale of business. Neither party is liable for failure to perform caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
